These two decided to fly me out to Canmore for their engagement photos instead of settling for a location close to home. While they are getting married in Ontario, they fell in love & got engaged in the mountains so they thought that it makes the most sense to capture a piece of their love amongst a piece of earth they both love so dearly.

We flew out on a Thursday evening get us into Calgary quite late. We drove in the darkness to our airbnb in Canmore and the morning, we woke up to the serenity of the mountains surrounding us. We went to Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. for breaky where they have the most delicious bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee & a special shoutout to the nanaimo bar (hella tasty!) and then we went on our way for a day of adventuring + epic captures. We started local to Canmore, stopping at the Three Sisters look out point and walking along Bow river. From there we made our way to Banff where we stopped in town for a quick lil McDonald’s run. It’s tradition for K + R to stop at McDon’s for a refreshment of some kind so we kept the tradition alive. From there, we were well replenished for our drive to Lake Morraine which absolutely blew my mind!!! This was my first real time exploring the Camore/Banff area so to say I was amazed is an understatement. We saw some Elk + other realms of wildlife along the way.

We then stopped at our airbnb for a quick relaxation sesh + to change our clothes for the next stretch of the adventure. After an hour or 2 of resting our feet, we got back in the car and headed back to Banff to ride the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulpher Mountain. This is truly an experience I will never forget. We made it to the top just as the sun started to set. We walked along the mountain tops, looking out at the vast, never ending snow capped mountains. We danced & frolicked. It was like nothing I had ever experience before. Mountains + golden hour + beautiful humans… UGH!!! A photographer’s dream.
